Video Subbing: Matsuura Aya and Shiina Ringo on Music Station (HQ version)

Some time ago I subbed a video of Shiina Ringo and Matsuura Aya on the show Music Station. If you've seen it you'll probably know that the quality of the video was bad lol

So for the second time, a dedicated fan of Matsuura Aya has decided to redo it with a high quality version of the video for your viewing pleasure. Unfortunately this version doesn't have the song performance by Shiina Ringo with her band Tokyo Jihen but is still much nicer to look at compared to mine.

Please thank matthecat from the Matsuurian forums for the work.

Matsuura Aya on Sekai Dangan Traveller HD Quality

Greetings everyone, hope you've all been good.

Some time ago I uploaded a subtitled video of Matsuura Aya on the show Sekai Dangan Traveller. Because I uploaded it onto a video sharing site, the video didn't keep its original level of quality unfortunately. The good news is that an avid fan of Matsuura Aya has (with my permission) redone the subtitles on a HQ version of the video and uploaded it on megaupload.

The link is here:

I've given permission to do the same to the other Matsuura Aya videos I've done so you might see them in the future too?

Anyway, if you're a fan of Matsuura Aya too, you should check out the forum and the massive video archive that he runs.

If anyone else wants to do something similar for any of the other videos on here then you're free to do so, as long as you let me know and credit the subtitles to me.
Cheers!

Video Subbing: SHIINA RINGO & MATSUURA AYA on MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2005

Hey there, here's another short video today. The good thing about small videos are that I can pretty much finish one and post it up everyday. This video is of Matsuura Aya and one of my favourite musicians, Tokyo Jihen (and Shina Ringo) on the show Music Station. Every year, this show has a concert called 'Super Live' where they invite many of the stars of that year and play live on TV.

I didn't translate the Tokyo Jihen song as it's quite complicated and sort of cryptic. It was also written in olden style Japanese in some parts and basically, it was too hard for me.....Since I didn't translate that one I didn't think it would be fair to translate Matsuura's song either. Well to be honest I was kind of lazy.....

Couldn't embed the video so have to click the link to go to video hosting site

Video Subbing (REQUEST): Matsuura Aya on Sekai Dangan Traveller

Here's the requested English subbbing of Mastuura Aya on Sekai Dangan Traveller. She goes to Andalucia in Spain, to check out the Alhumbra Palace. For those who don't know, Matsuura Aya is/was one of the biggest Japanese idol singers. She burst onto the scene at the start of the 2000's and found huge success through to around half way of the decade before suffering from health problems. This forced her career to slow down but she is still remembered as an 'Idol genius' or a person born to be an idol.

If you've been checking this blog for a while and reading the little text that I write about of my opinions, you may have gathered that I'm not fan of idols. I really don't like AKB45 (or 48? (-_-)) or all those Johnny's groups that are supposedly good looking (well some of them are but only like 1~3 in each group....). Sorry if I offend any fans about this but I just don't like them, mainly for their overrated, soulless music that keep getting churned out of a machine and topping charts.

Well kinda got off topic.....but what I wanted to say is that I don't feel that way about Matsuura Aya. I think that she genuinely has talent. You can tell her voice is good without help of machines. Also, although she may seem like the typical cute idol, it's not annoying like most others and is a genuine cuteness which is something you don't usually see in the robotic clone world of agency puppets aka Japanese idols.

I don't want to seem like an idol hater because I'm not. I don't like who I don't like, and I like who I like. Regardless of whether they're idols or not. Anyway it's getting long and off sort of off topic so I'll try and write a post just for my opinion on this sometime..
