Hey everyone, it has been a while.
About a week I think?
Anyway, I've finally finished a video that I'd like you to watch.
It's from Mecha-mecha Iketeru (aka Mechaike), a popular show hosted by comedy duo, Ninetynine. I've done an episode from this show before (Idols Not Including AKB Sports Carnival) which was unfortunately already subbed, so I wasted my time with that. I'm pretty sure this one hasn't been subbed though.
It features famous monsters from the Ultraman series, a tokusatsu hero show for young boys. I used to watch this when I lived in Japan (until age of 5) and I've still got heaps of toys of them at home lol. Hopefully there are some Ultraman fans that check out this blog, as I'm sure you'll have fun with this one. Even if you don't know anything about them, it's still entertaining enough. I hope.
Oh, I should mention that you'll see the word "Seijin" a few times in the vid. This means "alien" or "person from star". If it's put on the end of a name, like Pressure Seijin, it's like adding an ~ian or ~ese in English. For example. Pressurian, Japanese, Martian etc.

TRANSLATION NOTES
THANKYOU! IT'S GOOD MEDICINE!
This is the slogan for Ohta Isan, stomach medicine. I suppose Okamura used it for his sickness.
Here's a fairly strange commercial from the 1980's for the product.
GACHINKO FIGHT CLUB
This was a popular reality show about training young nobodies into professional boxers. There are some videos on youtube but no subs.
DOKUMAMUSHI SANDAYU
Was an actor, and played a member of Daisuke Arashi, a member of the Science Patrol Squad in the original Ultraman series (in the 1960's). He's also known for using vulgar language, and has a radio show that is popular with older people.
KINPACHI SENSEI
Is an extremely famous drama series about a passionate teacher trying to help is class 3-B, which is full of students with various problems. It gets mentioned all over the place on TV, manga etc etc. Everything. It's one of the biggest pop culture things in Japan.MUTOU KEIJI
Is one of the most famous Japanese wrestlers ever. I don't know much, but apparently he was one of the firs Japanese wrestlers to gain popularity in America. He has a signature pose that is very well known, and was what Magma Seijin impersonated in the vid.
