Video Subbing: Nakagawake's Tsuyoshi Meets NERIMOTHA FUCKERZ! on LINCOLN (2007.09.04)

Hey hey~,

Here's for another post. I've been doing a few posts recently, although it has been about a week since actual subbed video. It has also been too long since doing a LINCOLN video. Seriously, there are so many episodes from that show that needs to be subbed....

This is a particularly amazing episode, which I couldn't wait to share with you. Tsuyoshi, a comedian from the manzai duo, "Nakagawake" is sent to a place called Nerima to spend a week with a Japanese group called NERIMOTHA FUCKERZ. They're not really famous, but hit the news a few years back when their leader D.O. was arrested for dealing cocaine.

This corner of Lincoln is based of a popular travel show called "Sekai Ururun Taizai-ki" (World Ururun Stay Records). Each week they would show a famous person going for a homestay at a family in another country and learning various new things. For example, a guy went to Nepal and stayed helped a family make clay pottery, and some other people stayed with an African tribe to learn their ways of living. It's an interesting show that I used to watch on taped videos when I was younger. Actually, I'm planning on subbing some episodes in the future....

There's a second part to the video called "Dondake~ no Izumi" (The Spring Of Dondake~). This is based off a show called "The Spring Of Aura" used to be a show that had some priest guy talking about people's auras, past lives and guardian spirits and stuff. The "Dondake~" was a phrase originating from some gay people and is shortened from "Doredake" which means "How much". In the normal way, it is used like "How much (Dondake) ~~ are you gonna use!". More recently, it has been popularised to express shock or surprise by people on TV. They're basically implying the same thing  as "How much ~~are you gonna do/use" but only saying the "How much". Hope that makes sense.

Sorry about the bad quality video. It's from the analog days, and before people uploaded nice quality videos in the first place.

TRANSLATION NOTES

JOU
This is a unit of measurement for saying how big a room is. One jou is one tatami mat, which can vary in size depending on the location...Check wikipedia for more info (here).

BAKERATTA
Bakeratta is a character of the anime series Obake no Q-taro. It can only say its name "Bakeratta". Kind of like how Pokemon keep repeating their own name.

    1. I don't know if they're all there but there a loads of old ones on Pandora. If you search リンカーン and the date of the shows like 2007.09.04 or sometimes without the dots, it'll come up. Then you get the pandora link and use a site like Vid-dl to rip it. You might need a program like flashget to download it properly because Pandora sets their videos to stop loading after a certain amount of time, and normal method of downloading doesn't work because of this.
