Video Subbing [REQUEST]: NAZOTOKI BATTLE TORE! with Narimiya Hiroki and Saito Takumi (2012.02.06)

Heeeeeeeeey

Hope you're all feeling good. I've subbed another video of a show that was requested by someone. I kind of laid it off for a while because it requires more work than the usual vid. It is a quiz game and so requires me to write heaps of explanations and translating some of the text on screen and stuff. I realised that I didn't translate everything (as you will see) but then again......you probably won't be able to answer the questions if you don't understand Japanese anyway. So I didn't think it particularly matters. It may be good if you are studying Japanese but if you are then you should know basic hiragana so yeah.....shouldn't matter much, as I said just before.

Aha yeah so a quick description of the show. In English the show would be called "Treasure Finding Adventure: Puzzle Solving Battle TORE!" . Yah pretty long name. It's hosted by Yamazato Ryota from the comedy duo Nankai Candies. Well actually it's just his voice and a CG image of him as a sarcophagus. There are two teams that do word quizzes in fun looking stages like while standing on a ledge with blocks that protrude out to push you off. Until 2010 or 2011 it used to be called DERO! and had a similar concept to TORE! but was about escaping a kidnapper's lair. It didn't have as many word puzzles (I think) and was pretty fun to watch so if I do another episode of this series I think I'll do one from back then.

Nazotoki Battle TORE (2012.02.06) Narimiya... by juxtapose31

Most things are explained in the video......although they kind of flash up for short periods and may be hard to see? Sorry about that. I'll get better at it as time goes on. It was particularly bad as there wasn't much space to place it and lots of other things were pasted on the screen to take your attention......

  2. Nice work and thank you for the hard work! I didn't really notice it before but after you mentioned about that Crazyontv guy, I realized that he was posting yours, Gakifiles and Shibatabread videos on his site. I also tried searching, but I couldn't find any mention or credits given to the subbers. That really shows no class IMHO. Anyway, I'll be watching your videos here from now on :D

    1. You're welcome regarding the subs. Yeah, he should've given the subbers credit but please don't be too harsh on him/her lol. I'm sure it was an honest mistake. :)

  4. Hey Zilla.
Do as the same method, which we used on the Shoji Series.
Burn your Blog on the top left side of the Video. This way you can at least prevent some kind of stealing.

The other thing is, that this prick is getting payed for videos, he hasn't even touched.

    1. Yeah I suppose I should. I'm sure he didn't really mean to "steal" them so I didn't mind a huge amount but yeah... The problem is solved and finished now anyway so it's all good.

  8. Thank you so much for this!!! I knew about Dero, it was like one of my favourite japanese tv shows ever, but I stopped watching and didn't even know it changed name and format. I also liked more the Dero version but I guess the same games over and over again was boring with just a new game every few months so they needed an excuse to change all the games at the same time. My favourite in Dero was the one with the beams that retracted and my favourite one in tore is the one with the slope! Now I'm hooked and I've been watching tore raws in youku for hours xDDDD It's your fault!!!! xDDDDD
Again, thank you very much, I loved it.

    1. Oh, by the way, I think Tore is as interesting as Dero was, and even though Dero didn't had as many word puzzles as tore has, some games in Dero were a lot harder to translate, like the room that filled with water or the room where the ceiling goes down, those had a lot of riddles and word play that were much more difficult to solve and translate I guess. My japanese is limited but that's what I think.
I don't know, probably is the same for dero or tore, hard to translate some word puzzles but essentialy the same.
I'll be happy either way if you sub more dero or tore! :)

    2. Yeah they're both pretty similar but good. I liked that riddle game with the water falling into the room, although I don't really remember what kind of things I would have to translate for it lol. Well I think I'll do a DERO episode next time anyway just so that people will be exposed to the two different series.

    1. Dunno probably not. I'm assuming he was called in to make up the numbers. Same with the Akina girl.
