JAPAN'S FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 QUALIFIERS (VS OMAN and JORDAN)

Hey, here's a post for people who are interested in football (soccer). They are links to their two recent World Cup qualifier matches against Oman and Jordan. Japanese football has been on the rise for about two years, with the future looking bright with numerous exciting talents emerging.

Recently one of the stars of J-football, Shinji Kagawa moved to the world famous Manchester United for around fee that can potentially rise to £17 million, and some more young players are thought to probably move out to Europe during this transfer season.

They'll be playing Australia on the 12th of June, which I will be watching at the stadium!! Boo yah!!
It's a bit hard to choose which side to support since I have both nationalities but probably Japan since I identify more with them. Even so, I wouldn't be too disappointing if Australia won, especially since they've done fairly badly in their past matches and need some points to qualify for the World Cup.

The commentary for the games here are in Japanese, but hopefully that doesn't bother you too much. There probably aren't any with English commentary anyway so it's not like you have much choice.

  2. For me, Japan is definitely in better form than Jordan but to win the game with 6-0 , just absolute pleasure to watch xD My fave would be the opening goal by Maeda and last one by Kurihara, nice header!

I'll be cheering for Japan on 12th, from my living room ┗(^0^)┓

EURO 2012 tonight: Holland v Denmark, Germany (go germany!) v Portugal, will you be watching?

    1. Yeah the goal by Kurihara was great! It looked so cool. It's hard to watch Euro from where I live because it's like 2:00~4:00am in the morning but I'll try! Don't really have any team I'm cheering for this time around though.

  3. My joy for Kurihara goal short-lived because of the referee, he was making so many poor decisions what the heck o_O His earlier decision to give out 2nd yellow for Milligan was harsh which ended up him booted off but for the fricking penalty..where did that come from? *sigh*

My fave moment of the game: Kurihara brilliance clearance.

Edit: OMG RED FOR KURIHARA YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME O_O

Edit: Game's over (the referee's blown full time and didn't wait for Honda's free kick lol ridiculous). Overall very intense enjoyable game except for baaaaaaaaaaad referee >_>

    1. AHHHHHH TOTALLY WRECKED BY THE REF!
Those sending offs were rubbish for both teams...and the penalty. I didn't even see what happened lol

And end of game before FK is kicked? WHAAAT? And it was Honda's specialty zone as well....

I pretty much have the same opinion as you haha. Fun game but ref sucked.
I suppose draw was fair enough, they both messed up their chances to score.

And Uchida's bad shooting lol. Hasebe is bad at passing. I think he gets tired later on or something because he always starts doing missed in the second half.
